iDentures:

iDentures are a new technique developed by Dr. Jiro Abe in Japan, which provides extra retention in the lower denture. This helps eliminate the problem of the lower denture lifting. They offer better stability and a more accurate fit. This means less movement when eating and speaking, and less requirement for the use of fixative.

Paddy travelled to Japan in April 2018 to complete a course under Dr. Jiro Abe, and has recently received a certificate in the revolutionary suction denture technique. As a result, Paddy is now qualified to provide Suction Effective Mandibular Complete Dentures (SEMCD).

This is achieved through several different processes which leads to very precise impressions of your dental soft tissue and underlying bone structures, which is used to create a lower denture that has a complete seal around its borders. Using the latest BPS materials and processes the result is much more accurate and dentures have significantly better retention.

iDentures are an alternative for patients who are not suitable for implants or who just don’t like the idea of the procedures involved in implants, but would still like to have the best fitting lower denture possible on the market.

Patrick Langton is one of only a few Clinical Dental Technicians in Ireland to have gained this knowledge and qualification. As a denturist, he has over 25 years’ experience of making dentures and has found that the iDenture technique is a revolutionary advancement. Having carried out the procedure on numerous patients Paddy feels confident in offering iDentures to all suitable clients. 85% of patients who wear full lower dentures may qualify for this new treatment. You can book a consultation to assess the suitability of this treatment for you.

We still offer more conventional dentures for those who need a more affordable option.
